Autobiography vs. Self-Portrait
An autobiography and a self-portrait are essentially convey the same message with a different strategy. An autobiography is a hard, concrete story of your life. A self-portrait is an abstract story that can be molded in different ways based off the person looking at the photo.
One is subject to interpretation. The other is solid facts put to paper by the subject. An autobiography can only tell an audience what the subject wants them to know. A self-portrait leaves the subjects life to be created or bred from the audiences imagination based off what is in the photo.
